HAZEL CREST ASSEMBLY'S function in the body of Christ is to "Preserve the Doctrine of the Apostolic Faith".   Suffragan Bishop Eddie G. Richards, (Pastor) and all ordained and licensed ministers and all those "called" to the ministry shall teach, preach and declare nothing other than the Apostles Doctrine as given in the King James Holy Bible.

This Doctrine shall consist of: The Principles of the Doctrine Repentance, Faith towards God, Doctrine of Baptisms, Laying on of hands, Resurrection of the dead, and Eternal Judgment. Hebrews 6:1-2
 

• Ordinances - Foot washing, Communion (the Lord's Supper), John 13:1-17; I Corinthians 11:19-34

• Plan of Salvation - The New Birth ("being born again") includes a genuine repentance, water baptism in Jesus' Name, and Baptism of the Holy Ghost, evidenced by the speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (No exceptions). Acts 2:1-4, 38

• Mode of Baptism - In administering baptism in Jesus' Name our formula is, "IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS". We believe Baptism once in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins for persons who have reach the age of understanding and NO BAPTISM of infants under any conditions. Acts 19:1-6

• Divine Healing - The Lord is our healer. The Lord made our bodies. Should it be thought a thing incredible that He can heal us? With His stripes we are healed! Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:14-17; Mark 16:18; John 14:12; James 4:14

• The Godhead - We fully believe the mystery of the Godhead. We believe that Jesus was both human and divine, and further, that the Godhead be understood to mean all of the fullness of God. We believe that God was manifest in the flesh, and that the flesh of Jesus was the same as ours, with the exception that it had no sin; that Jesus was the Eternal Father made visible, apart from whom there is no God. John 1:1, 14; Colossians 1-9

• Offering - The method of begging, rallying, giving socials, raffles, shows and concerts to carry on God's work is not God's plan. We believe that if the people of God would obey His Word, there would be plenty on hand to carry on His work without scheming and grafting. "Tithing, and free-will offering is God's plan. Malachi 3:8-11
